Illustration of twin brothers

There were two identical twin brothers. It was very difficult to differ both. When they were mature, A became a judge. Unfortunately, B became a robber and murderer. Someday, B was captured and was judged in a court where A was the judge. Since A was well-known as a fair judge, he sentenced B death penalty. B was brought to his cell to wait the death penalty. But, then A visited B and said to him: "Brother, I still love you since you're my brother."

B answered: "That's nonsense. If you really love me, why did you punish me with death penalty?"

A replied him: " The justice says that crime must be punished and as a robber and killer, you must be punished with death penalty. But, I still love you and I will prove it."

A switched his clothes with B's, so B could be free. While A replaced B to get the death penalty.

That's what Jesus did for us. He replaced us to die in the cross, so we can be free from punishment. He had been raised, so he defeated the death. He provides eternal life. He brings us back to God. So, by his death and resurrection  Jesus has created a bridge to bring us to God. How can we cross the bridge?
